BOB'S EMMAUS PAGE
Bob Geissler from the Rio Grande Valley Emmaus/ Chrysalis Community, is providing an admirable gateway of links to Emmaus and Chrysalis teams on the networks. BREVIA PUBLISHING COMPANY & VOYLE A. GLOVER ESQ.
The Bible says that God's Word does not return to Him unfulfilled. So it was that when the Lord Jesus began addressing the scribes, there have been Christian lawyers. Brevia Publishing Company is a Christian publishing company that has added a unique contribution to the internet. Voyle Glover shares legal training and Christian principles with visitors. There are plenty of thoughts fleshed out, and concerns shared in an informal, easy-going way. Being a lawyer one would expect to find legal topics discussed on Mr. Glover's page, and indeed Brevia Publishing offers a list of popular questions with answers. Other areas of interest include such diverse subjects as Christianity, The Old West, Current Events, Aliens, Prayer and the Bible, and Western Fiction, but all are tied together with the mended mind and heart of a lawyer who has met the Lord. Good reading. Brevia Notes, a series of articles by Voyle Glover, is described in the Newsletters/ Journals section of this guide.
THE BRIDGE MINISTRIES
"The primary vision of The Bridge is to lift the name of Jesus and to facilitate the making of disciples of Jesus and the planting of churches in the most severely under-serviced areas of the United States and around the World. ... to identify, train and deploy those people God has sovereignly called to be part of the harvest. The intent is to establish an indigenous network of world impacting, disciples of Jesus Christ, who have a vision and are active in reaching every person in the world." - adapted from the Vision Statement. The web site provides a number of pages touching upon The Church (links for Christian internet resource lists, databases, and Xenox Christian Fellowship); Cell Groups (including a file on Cell Church philosophy), and links to the Cell Church archive, Power House Church, the Jesus Film, The Way House, Discipleship, Motivation and Bible Study resources.; What's On god's Heart (Prayer Through the 10/40 Window, Brigada, and mission related web sites); Spiritual Gifts Discovery Tool from Campus Crusade for Christ); and Bridge Communications, which includes a nifty World Wide Web Prayer Conference.
BRIGADA: YOUR GATEWAY TO MISSION NETWORKING
Brigada purposes to be an "op center", a tool-box that can pull together the people, the resources, and the networks to aid in completing the task of reaching specific cities and people groups with the love of Jesus Christ. Included in this goal are the 100 Gateway Cities targeted for special prayer in the Praying Through the Window campaign for October. Brigada began with a simple question: What if a congregation or individual wanted to actually go to one of those 100 Gateway Cities? What if there were two, or three, or more? How would they ever meet? How could they pray for one another and share strategies, ideas, and joint plans -- so that we won't all have to duplicate effort and 'reinvent the wheel' during mobilization? From across the country, at AD2000 & Beyond's International Office, to SIL, to Global Mapping, to MARC, to CIN, to David Barrett's office, to Patrick Johnstone, and many others .... the message was the same... we need a network such as Brigada to find out what are the opportunities, the resources, and those responding. Brigada is a system of conferences and forums that allow you to network with others who share common interests in sharing God's love with previously unreached cities and peoples around the world. Basic information sections include detailed information about Brigada's projects in missions; Brigada Today (current international mission-related news); Advance (a super newsletter detailing mission events and needs around the world); Reaching the Least Reached Peoples (an innovative collection of tools to learn about People Groups, Prayer Profiles, and Cities, including research from PGC Research Group, the Joshua Project, AD 2000 & Beyond, the Caleb Project), detailed lists of the Brigada conferences, and links to related sites. Highly recommended.
